Although foreign to Australians the US Presidential elections are widely reported and currently provide leading news articles for most media outlets.

We are very interested in how enterprise social productivity tools, Enterprise 2.0, can be used in governments - local, state and federal in Australia and a fascinating article has just been released on the Science Progress website on how the Presidential Transition Team will work. It is particularly interesting because it discusses how new tools could and will be used for the first time to enusre a smooth transistion in one of the most difficult economic times in history.

The article is written by Mark Drapeau and he bases his discussion on what has occurred during this election and several previous events that occurred during transition periods "Previous administrations—and ultimately the American people—have suffered from poor communication and coordination during transition periods"

The article can be found in full at Science Progress.
