Wachovia is a name that is not that well known outside of the United States, however that is changing. Wachovia is the fourth largest bank in the US and now 20th largest in the world.

Wachovia commenced its Enterprise 2.0 journey over 2.5 years ago and many hurdles had to be overcome before there was general acceptance of the various technologies and tools.

In this rich presentation by Pete Fields from their e-Commerce Division we get a very good insight on how to implement social productivity in a large organisation.

The Enterprise 2.0 Conference is currently being held in Boston and it has brought together many of the prominent industry players. An interesting session was provided by the architects of the "Intellipedia" a Web 2.0 collaboration environment created by the Department of National Intelligence (DNI) for the intelligence community.

Sean Dennehy and Don Burke are two CIA employees who are also leading advocates for the Intellipedia, During their presentation, "From the bottom up: Building the 21st Century Intelligence Community," Dennehy and Burke spoke about the difficulty of convincing the country's most secretive organization to share information using Web 2.0 collaboration tools. After their presentation, David Spark asked them on video to discuss the difficulty of selling in the collaboration platform, the need for the CIA to share information at critical moments with other intelligence gathering organizations, and how their greatest detractors have become their most enthusiastic users. Enjoy the six minute interview.
